Information on Staff

Niccy Kershaw

I started out as the development worker for Borders Direct Payment Agency back in 1999.

I have worked through numerous changes and challenges over the last 17 years as the organisation has developed. I find the work Encompass does is extremely rewarding. We have a good team and a supportive Board of Directors.

I love animals, walking and the countryside. Some of you will already know my main obsession is supporting my family with Motorcycle Sidecar Racing!

Hazel Jack - Manager & Employer Support Advisor (Central)

My background before joining Encompass in 2005 was in the busy electronics industry, where I covered all aspects of office life. I started off in Accounts, Payroll and Human Resources, moved to Sales, Production Control and then Procurement.

This experience has definitely helped me with the varied role of Employer Support Advisor.

I really enjoy being part of the Encompass team and find the work we do extremely rewarding. I especially like meeting and working with our clients and their families.

I was born in Selkirk and still live there with my husband, young son and our Border collie, Gem.

I enjoy hill walking with Gem; I volunteer as Treasurer with the Junior Football Club and I coach my son’s rugby Team “Go Rhinos”.

Judith Purves - Employer Support Advisor (Hawick)

I have been working for Encompass since July 2012 on a part time basis.

I previously worked for the Bank of Scotland before working in school as a Nursery Nurse. I am enjoying my role at Encompass and being part of a friendly team!

I love being outdoors and enjoy horseriding with my son Sam, orienteering and walking my dogs.

Norma Patterson - Employer Support Advisor

I joined the team at Encompass in September 2015 and I am enjoying my role as Employer Support Advisor for the Berwickshire area.

Prior to this I worked as a supply Nursery Nurse for Scottish Borders Council, and I still work in the care sector, which has been a big part of my employment for nearly 16 years now.

I really enjoy all the different aspects of my work, how the care sector has changed and is constantly developing, which I feel has given me a good foundation to continually develop my skills.

In amongst my work, I am married with two lovely children and I have a forever extending family network close by.

Rosie Fawcett - Employer Support Advisor - Peeblesshire

I am so pleased to have been given this opportunity, joining the team at Encompass in July 2016. I am really excited to be part of a friendly, caring and hardworking team of staff who are all dedicated to their clients.

I am looking forward to working and getting to know new and existing clients in and around the Peeblesshire area.

For the previous seven years I was working for the Bank of Scotland in various branches in the Borders area, and my most recent role was within the Management Team.  I have lots of experience working with people and enjoy looking after clients’ needs and building new relationships.

I was brought up in the Scottish Borders on a small farm with boarding kennels and very much enjoy the country life. I currently stay in Galashiels, happily married and I have a little girl who keeps me busy.  I also enjoy travelling north to visit family.

Jacqueline Aikman

I have recently stared working with Encompass and I am delighted to join their supportive team.

I have come from a Civil Service Customer Service background and for the past 10 years I have worked as a Nursery Nurse for Scottish Borders Council.

I enjoy working with others as a part of a multi-disciplinary team. My new role as an Employer Support Advisor will allow me to use the caring, supportive and listening skills I have developed over my working career to date.

I will get to know clients in the Central Borders area.

I live at home with my husband, son and daughter.

I like to keep fit by tending the garden, going on local walks and taking part in a weekly Zumba class with friends.
